On July 2nd of 2020, we were made aware of one of 20 families that are facing hardship. The Ncube Family is the worst due to the disability faced by the mother and son. 80-year-old Mathanyela Ncube and her 48-year-old son, Nkululeko.

Unfortunately, Nkululeko was born with a disability. Mrs. Ncube was also involved in a workplace accident where a boulder crushed both her legs at a Dam Construction in Zimbabwe, Africa. Her husband passed away 20 years ago and to make the situation worse, she recently also lost her eldest son and caretaker in March of 2020. Mrs. Ncube and her son have now been left alone to fend for themselves with no assistance.

In honor of this family we decided to fundraise from the vegetables from our garden and home-made clothing which assisted in buying groceries and other essentials for the 20 families. The food hamper was delivered on August 22nd, 2020 by Pastor’s wife; Mrs. G Dlamini from the Church of Christ based in Lobungula Township in Bulawayo.

The package included

  • 50kg of mealie meal for $15 USD
