Karamoja Famine

In 1980 one of Uganda's poorest region faced a famine so horrific it almost consumed Karamoja including over half the population of children.

Sadly in the beginning of 2022  history repeated itself, wiping out over 900 people throughout the region.

In their own language, Karamajong means skeleton people. How can we put an end to this ?

Education is the key factor that will help with alleviating this generational cycle of poverty.

The GKS Children's Foundation main mission is to ensure education to children who may not have access to it due to poverty or knowledge of the importance and impact education can make in a child's life.

Though the number of people in need is rising everyday, Global Kingdom Spirit Children's Foundation is  currently taking care of 4 centres in the Moroto District that serve 325 children at the Arecher Center, as well as 218 children each at the other 3 centres, and over 100 elderly seniors, including 26 blind people.

We kindly ask that you share your love and generosity this Christmas with the people of Karamoja.

Whether that is to contribute towards education, feeding the hungry or building shelters for those who cannot help themselves and have no one to help them. However small or big you would like to contribute, it will still make a huge difference to those in need.

Our commitment and promise to any donors is 100% of donations go directly to the cause of your choice
